Steam Awards 2025 Winners: All Categories And Games

Valve has announced the winners of the Steam Awards 2025, revealing the titles that have received the most praise from the Steam community in the previous year. While the ceremony has traditionally received less mainstream attention than events such as The Game Awards, it remains important in the PC gaming ecosystem due to its player-driven voting.

The biggest winner of the night was Hollow Knight: Silksong, which claimed both Game of the Year and Best Game You’re Bad At. After years of anticipation, Team Cherry’s long-awaited sequel finally launched and was widely praised for expanding the original game’s universe, introducing new regions, abilities, and enemies, and delivering a refined action-adventure experience centered on the character Hornet.

Another standout was Baldur’s Gate 3, which received the Labor of Love award. The title was recognized for its continued post-launch support, including regular updates, fixes, and new content that have kept the RPG evolving well beyond its release. Larian Studios’ commitment reinforced the game’s strong position within the genre.

In the visual category, Silent Hill f won Outstanding Visual Style. Set in 1960s Japan and inspired by local folklore, the game impressed players with its distinctive aesthetic, unsettling atmosphere, and strong artistic direction, supported by music from Akira Yamaoka and a narrative written by Ryukishi07.

ARC Raiders earned the award for Most Innovative Gameplay, standing out for its cooperative action mechanics and its blend of surface exploration, underground social hubs, and player-driven decision-making. The title was praised for offering a fresh approach to cooperative shooters.

Additional winners included The Midnight Walk as VR Game of the Year, noted for its handcrafted clay visuals and stop-motion animation style, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which took home Best Soundtrack for its atmospheric music. Dispatch won Best Story, PEAK was named Best Game to Play with Friends, Hades II earned Best Game on Steam Deck, and RV There Yet? received the Sit Back and Relax award.
