Google has been spending a lot of time improving Google Wallet lately. Last year, the app received a ton of updates, including new features such as nearby pass notifications, a fresh coat of paint with its Material 3 Expressive redesign, the ability to add cards to your Google Wallet just by tapping them on your phone, and plenty more.
That said, despite all those updates, Google Wallet still has one frustrating limitation: you can only see transactions made on the device you’re using within the app. For example, if you paid for something with your Wear OS smartwatch, that purchase wouldn’t appear in your transaction history in the app because the tap-to-pay transaction happened on your watch rather than your phone. It’s been a long-standing annoyance for many users, and now Google is finally fixing it.
Thanks to the latest Google Play Services update (version 26.01), Google Wallet will soon let you view transactions made on all your devices in the app, not just the device you’re using (via 9to5Google). “You can now view transactions from other devices and online purchases that use virtual card numbers,” the Google Play Services update changelog states.
While it’s about time Google fixed this shortcoming, there’s unfortunately no timeline for when it will roll out to all users with the Google Wallet app. Although it’s officially documented in the Google Play Services update changelog, those changes sometimes take months to roll out.
It’s also worth noting that viewing all your transactions, regardless of the device it was made on, has been possible for ages on Google Wallet’s website (wallet.google.com), so it seems Google is finally just taking the time to port this to the mobile app now.

A new search function for Google Wallet could also be on the way
Finding any transaction could soon be a lot easier
Beyond Google Wallet being updated to show all your transactions across devices, 9to5Google has also spotted another interesting change that could be coming to the app soon.
In version 25.1.x of the Google Wallet app, the publication found code strings suggesting that a new search function may be coming to the transaction history page. This would let you search for any transaction you’ve made with Google Wallet. On the web, you can already search for transactions by date, merchant, or amount, so it looks like Google may be working on bringing that same functionality to the mobile app.
If you have a long transaction history, and you’re just trying to track down one specific purchase, this would make things much easier — and could even save you from opening a separate banking app just to find it.
Unfortunately, there’s no timeline for when this search feature might roll out. Still, it would be nice to see Google bundle it with the broader transaction history update so the Google Wallet app finally reaches full feature parity with the web version sooner rather than later.
Currently, the Google Wallet app shows only your last 10 transactions on your phone after you choose a card and select “View more activity,” so when these updates eventually roll out, tracking your purchases will become much more streamlined.
