Pocket-lint’s top picks for the year

2026’s Computex trade show is wrapping up in Tapai, Taiwan, and this year’s event has been a big one. Tech companies from across the globe have gathered in the city to tease, launch, and showcase a plethora of new hardware products, platforms, and services. Countless announcements have been made, with some standing out as incredibly noteworthy and consequential within the consumer electronics space.

Pocket-lint has had the chance to walk the Computex 2026 show floor first-hand, and we’ve checked out some of the booths spread out across the convention center’s many winding halls. Here are our picks for the top five announcements made during (or in some cases, within the periphery of) this year’s hype-filled Computex event.

Nvidia RTX Spark

Bar none, the most notable announcement made during this year’s Computex cycle has been Nvidia’s new RTX Spark computing platform. The ARM-based system on a chip (SoC) has been dubbed a ‘superchip,’ having been designed in collaboration with MediaTek, Microsoft, and other key industry players.

The RTX Spark in its high-end configuration features up to 20 CPU cores, up to 6,144 RTX GPU cores, and up to 128GB of unified memory. The chip is already confirmed to be arriving on several new Windows 11 PCs like the Asus ProArt P14 and P16, with a focus on both creative workflows and on on-device agentic AI tasks.

Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle

Asus is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of its Republic of Gamers (ROG) sub-brand at Computex this year, with the company revealing a slew of new limited edition hardware products and peripherals.

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle stole the show, featuring not only a fancy new handheld PC exterior designed to commemorate ROG’s anniversary, but also a bigger, brighter display that uses OLED technology, improved buttons and thumbsticks, and other refinements throughout.

A pair of ROG XREAL R1 augmented reality (AR) glasses are also included here as part of the bundle, though it’s unclear if the X20 will eventually be sold separately and in non-themed colorways.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra

Nvidia’s RTX Spark processor is a big deal for the Windows 11 PC ecosystem, and Microsoft knows it. The company has announced a MacBook Pro-grade Surface Laptop Ultra running the RTX Spark under the hood, with tons of ports to choose from, a powerful new cooling system, and a slick design with a curiously large USB Type-C port that may or may not be the successor to the company’s Surface Connect port (via Windows Central).

MSI MPG OLED 322URDX36

MSI’s new MPG OLED 322URDX36 has a long-winded name, to be sure, but that’s not stopping it from being an impressive bit of kit on the whole. This 31.5-inch gaming monitor is notable for being the first ever to offer 4K UHD resolution at a refresh rate of 360Hz, which is mightily impressive.

The monitor’s Tripe Mode feature allows it to quickly switch to 2K at 520Hz and to FHD at 680Hz, adding extra flexibility to the mix. Panel colors are another focus here, with the monitor coming equipped with a DarkArmor Film that’s said to improve black levels by up to forty percent, and with various other certifications on deck.

Intel ARC G3 / ARC G3 Extreme

Intel has renewed its focus on handheld gaming PCs at Computex 2026, having introduced an all-new processor platform called the ARC G3. Alongside the higher-end ARC G3 Extreme, these chipsets are designed using the same underlying architecture found in Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) processors, which should result in major performance-per-watt gains. Serving as a major competitor to AMD’s popular mobile gaming chip offerings, Intel has already confirmed that several device makers are on board with the ARC G3 platform.
